Oh and I dont mean the clothes and music...... the 'comedy' bits are ridiculously lame and the so called 'cool' scenes try way too hard........love every minute of it though! BTW 100% agree with MaryAnne, the captain DID mean 'are Hanson and Penhall dating......' note the wry look in his eyes and Hanson's grin and 'yeah right' eyes...... He makes hippie fun and cool. 21 Jump street completely killed it when they wrote him off. Either way he's continued to prove me right with his after projects. He mentions how Forrest was more used to "big screen" work and that he was always ad-libing his lines rather than follow the script. (I have no idea if that meant Forrest was for or against the embarrassing hippie shtick, but I'd say that accounts for the obvious dial-back from how he was in the pilot.) Deluise states Forrest "parted amicably" but as he also claims the two options for writing out the death involved either drunk driving or Jenko being shot in the throat (so he couldn't talk anymore), it sounds like things were not so amicable, yeah? Or maybe they all just had a really smug sense of humor. That's not to say audience response wasn't also a factor in the decision (who knows?
