“I wrote 63 songs this year. They’re all about Jeter.” Just kidding. The game we love, the players we hate, and more.

Elsewhere in the Tomatoverse: Brooklyn Girls and tennis boys

In case you missed ’em, 1) Couch Baron, Joe R, and I ranked the French Open’s Round of 16ers over at the baronial blog. A triumph for Tipsarevic, backhand-orgasm face, and not one but TWO Sparky Polastri references!

I also recapped the most recent episode of Girls, “Weirdos Need Girlfriends Too,” over at Press Play:

The scene goes on too long, and I don’t know that I believe the girls would have kept sitting there while O’Dowd yelled at them for what felt like 15 minutes — but it makes its points. This weirdo needs a girlfriend, to be impressed with his CB2-catalog apartment and taste in red wine, to help him feel less lonely in Brooklyn.

Enjoy!
