N Cereal AA: Elite Eight Runoff

…Hi!   …Good, good.   You know: vacay.   What’s up with you guys?   …Awesome.   So: cereals, right?

Every time I think it’s safe to close the poll, Frosted Flakes climbs back into it.   The rest of the bracket has been updated with three of your Final Four: Honey Nut Cheerios and Cinnamon Toast Crunch will face off for a spot in the ultimate match-up, but Honey Bunches of Oats still awaits an antagonist.

You’ve got ’til 6 PM EDT to choose me a winner in Krispies v. Flakes, people.   Let’s get it done.

Edited, 6:05 PM: Flakes FTW!52% of 2316 votes.Watch this space for the Final Four, going live tonight.

Suck it oatmeal! Honey Nut Cheerios for the win!

I voted for Frosted Flakes but I could really go either way, I do love me some Rice Krispies treats.

    Go Tony!

  • Tisha_ says:

Thank GOD oatmeal didn’t win! Now, GO FROSTED FLAKES!!!

P.S. I tried Special K Cinnamon Pecan this weekend. It’s kinda awesome.

  • Alessandra says:

    RICE CRISPY TREATS!!! Total yum!

What’s *wrong* with you Frosted Flake people? ;)

  • Sandman says:

I have nothing against a Treat (except the Everwood one) but Rice Crispies, innocent of marshmallow, in their capacity as cereal? Snap, crackle, YAWN.

  • Sarah D. Bunting says:

“Innocent Of Marshmallow” is a fantastic band name, and Sandman’s just leaving it out there undefended. Huh.

  • Tisha_ says:

I think this is where it comes down to people who are voting for cereal, as cereal… and people who are voting for cereal that you mix with shit to make other shit.

I only voted for cereal as cereal… and Frosted Flakes are a nearly perfect cereal. Yes, I like rice krispy treats, but as a cereal, rice krispies kind of suck… unless you load them with sugar.

  • Jaybird says:

Uck. Frosted Flakes make my teeth ache all the way to my shoulders. Rice Krispies, OTOH, are…well, they’re neutral, which is what an easily-pissed-off-in-the-morning-anyway person needs. Besides coffee. I stand with Krispies.

  • Sandman says:

First single from Innocent of Marshmallow’s debut CD, Loaded With Sugar: “Frosted Flake People.”

  • tulip says:

    MINE!

hee. Nah I kid. I’m too old for a real band but that’s going on my Guitar Hero right now.

  • Tisha_ says:

Ok, 2,305 votes and it’s Frosted Flakes w/ 52%… and it’s 4:59pm central time. I think my beloved is safe. I’m going home now.

  • Pamela says:

    Froot Loops is out?

My cold, black heart is broken.

  • Wehaf says:

I was sad to see Rice Krispies lose, but I think Frosted Flakes will triumph over Honey bunches of Oats.

I predict that Honey Nut Cheerios will beat Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and proceed to finish off Frosted Flakes to win the championship.

The little honeybee taking out the mighty tiger – sounds like a Buddhist adage …
