Quarterback Princess

Words cannot describe how much I loved this movie as a kid; I probably watched it twenty times, and it always gave me that “FUCK yeah!” feeling in my stomach. Well, I watched it again, and I still love it, even though it’s actually fairly clumsy and the whole “Scott loses the logging championship” subplot is, like, whaaaatever. First of all, Tim ROBBINS is in it. And Daphne Zuniga. Helen Hunt’s acting is really not that great, but John Stockwell is just as cute as I remember, even when he has those dweeby suspenders on — and, dude! He wrote and directed Blue Crush, which I really liked! Go, John Stockwell! And he’s still cute! Anyway, the movie. Love it. Love the parents. Love Kim’s big freak-out scene with the paint. Love, love, LOVE the sequence where the guys take up a collection to buy Tami a homecoming princess dress. My eyes tear up just thinking about it.
