The N Cookie AA Semifinal, Round 2

A couple of these semifinalists surprised me by getting out of the first round, so this one’s probably Chips Ahoy Red’s to lose…

(Not sure what’s going on here? Check out the N Cookie AA FAQ.)

…barring a Cinderella rally from the Samoae. I’ll be voting animal crackers, but has anyone else noticed how nutty expensive the Barnum’s have gotten for a small box? The carry “strap” is cute, but it’s not made out of a tennis bracelet. Total brand tax, IMO. — Sarah D. Bunting

*****

The Brothers Chips will fight it out with each other and with Samoas for the top spot in this flight. I’m thrilled the wonderfully cardboard-y sugar wafers made it this far and they’ll definitely get my vote, but I don’t honestly believe that they, nor anyone else, really have much of a chance here. —Stephanie V.W. Not voting for Girl Scout cookies is simply unpatriotic. I kid, I kid!

  • Dave P. says:

I would be shocked if Samoas don’t win the whole thing. I think they are a little overrated at this point (Chips Ahoy fans may do the Oh-Ver-Ray-Ted chant now), but they are in the zeitgeist at this point.

  • Dave P. says:

At this point I am embarrassed I said “at this point” twice in my previous comment.

  • Sandman says:

Am I the only one who keeps seeing “Samosas” for a fraction of a second instead of “Samoas”? Now I’m hungry for samosas. And a cookie.

  • Keckler says:

    “Samoae” #BuntingisaLatinGeek

  • Tyliag says:

I voted for Samoas, or as I call them, the only thing in which I find coconut to be at least eatable if not palatable.

  • bluesabriel says:

I will fight a person for a Samoa. Luckily, I married a person who doesn’t like coconut, so I win forever.

  • Leigh in CO says:

I love me some animal crackers. Looks like I will only have to fight Sarah and a few other people with great taste for them.

  • cayenne says:

Meh, this bracket is. At least sugar wafers won’t make it through (gack).

  • DensityDuck says:

I love how Target’s animal crackers come in a plastic tub shaped like Winnie The Pooh. “YES, WINNIE, SCREAM! SCREAM AS I EAT YOUR LIVING BRAAAAAAAINS!”

oh am i the only one who does that?

    um.
