Great work, Nation! The 2K match has come in — huge thanks to our anonymous donor today! — and that brings us to 14 projects completed and nearly 6K on the day. Amazing job.

Still a few hours left in Detroit, though! And I’ve got a $15 iTunes gift card for today’s donor pool; just forward those receipts to bunting at tomatonation dot com. Don’t forget the DETROIT match code!

Welcome back, friends! Today’s target is Detroit — sorry about any URL-update problems, but it should work fine now, and we have a match code (DETROIT), so please use that.

We also have a match of $2000 that kicks in when you complete 5 projects! That’s right: 5 gets you 2K. An anonymous donor has generously offered to kick in the two grand when you finish 5 of the Detroit projects — and we’ve got a bunch here with not much money left on them, like a projector; some floor-hockey equipment; ink cartridges; and that old TN favorite, crayons

Finish just 5 and we raise another two thousand dollars. GO GET IT. (And forward your receipts: bunting at tomatonation dot com. Thanks!)

Okay, folks. Today is all about Detroit Rock City. The bad news is that we have our work cut out, because the shit ain’t improved over there since Roger & Me. The good news is manifold, however: 1) we have another match code! It’s DETROIT! It’s going to double your donation! 2) I will give a copy of Roger & Me on DVD (or Blu-Ray) (or another Michael Moore feelm of your choice) to one lucky winner! 3) more prizes are coming later today, and more matches too! and 4) you guys are awesome!

Forward receipts to bunting at tomatonation dot com. And you’re doing great so far; thank you so much.

Okay, Motor City. We got this. Hit it.

The link is taking me to South Dakota. Help!

  • Charmaine says:

Still the Dakotas on the link

  • Sarah D. Bunting says:

Ugh. Sorry, guys. Try this link in the meantime: http://www.donorschoose.org/donors/viewChallenge.html?id=237688

Little long-weekend lag there. Let me know which codes are workin’.

  • Sarah D. Bunting says:

Should work now; clear your caches and try again?

  • Ty says:

Crap– I forgot to enter the match code when I made my donation. There’s no way to go back and get the match, is there?

  • Sarah D. Bunting says:

@Ty: Well, you could donate again. (heh.) (…Probably not, but you can email jenny at donorschoose dot org and explain what happened; she might be able to work some magic.)

  • Ty says:

Just to follow up on the match question… Jenny responded to my email in about 20 seconds, and she was able to apply the match to another Detroit project. Just another reason why Donors Choose is awesome!

  • Debby says:

So glad to see Detroit getting some love. I live in Windsor, Ontario which is right across the border from them, and it is such a great place in a million ways, but man, they’ve had it tough.

  • Annie G. says:

Late to this, but responding to Ty…I forgot to enter the match code when I was donating to Camden on the Jersey day. I emailed Donors Choose and, while they weren’t able to apply it because the project had already been funded (yay!), they gave me a gift code I was able to use today. So…if you’re like me and biff that one, it is salvageable!
