TN Fall Contest: Post-Moosh

Submitted by on October 9, 2007 – 2:24 PM10 Comments

As you’ll see, all the TN Challenges have gotten mooshed together, and I’ve upped the ceiling to 100K. Behold the awesomeness right here; currently we’re at 73 percent. I’ve added a number of new projects in the last day or so, so if you haven’t had a chance to donate yet, or want to donate again, check out the list.

You’ll also see that more than 900 donors have affected more than ten thousand kids all over the country. Awesome.

Sars and all you lovely people:

I don’t have two dimes to rub together, but I got an idea about how I can still participate in DC. In honor of all you awesome people and your generosity, I will be shaving MY head this year. I dedicate my soon-to-be bald noggin to everyone who has been so generous, and also for Breast Cancer Awareness Month and my pal Barbara, who starts her radiation next week. The Shavening is scheduled for tomorrow night, and I’ll keep y’all up to date. I plan on taking pictures (not too tech-savvy over here) so Sars, if you’re interested, email me if you want and I’ll send you pre-post pics. Viva Donors Choose!

My payday is Friday! I’m so happy that I can still donate. Thanks for raising the bar, Sars!

  • Meg says:

Wow, over 10,000 students affected. Right now the number is only a few hundred shy of all the students, in all of the schools, in my current district and five times as many students as the district I grew up in. Truly remarkable.

  • Krissa says:

I just read the contest page…at the bottom it says something like “$35,000. Let’s do it.”

Does that seem like such a cute little number from here to anyone else? I’m SO excited to tip that $100K mark — to see the number of kids affected increase, to see the donor number continue to grow…this whole thing is amazing. Sorry: “awesome.”

Let’s go for two, guys. Kidding! …sort of.

    Next year, Krissa, next year.

Between DonorsChoose and Child’s Play, the internet appears to have taken over the charity world. I like it.

75% – another $25000 down, $25000 to go! I’m so glad to be a part of this.

Well, I finally got around to donating, and I find myself feeling just, well… I’m sure there’s a word for it… it’s just on the tip of my tongue… oh, yeah: Awesome.

  • Mrs. B says:

    This is just amazing!
