The Vine: March 23, 2012
I hope the Vine readers can help a girl out! I’ve been looking for a reasonable facsimile of the red shoes that Amy Winehouse wears in her “Rehab” video, and Google either gives me absolutely nothing, or endless pictures of when she went out wearing dirty flats or something. I was lucky enough to have her shoes from “F*ck Me Pumps” custom-made for me for next to nothing, but alas, I’m no longer on the same continent as Shoe Guy, so I’m reduced to scouring the web and praying.
Some qualifiers: I’m supremely picky about shoes, so I’d love it if they were as close as possible (in style and colour) to the ones in the video; I have size 10 feet, although I can sometimes take a 9, depending on manufacturer; I don’t want platforms (with the extra trying-to-trip-me wedge under the toe section); and the website has to ship to Canada for less than the cost of my car.
I throw myself on the knowledge of The Vine! I have given up hope.

Is there a reason Show Guy couldn’t make them and ship them intercontinentally? He may still have your measurements, or maybe you could send him the shoes he made for you to get the necessary measurements? I know that long-distance shipping and import tariffs can make things pricey but if his prices are good to begin with it may be worth it.

I just popped onto Zappos.com and narrowed Women’s Shoes by heels, red, pumps, patent leather, and Size 10 and got a page with a few that look like they would foot the bill (pun not intended).
Aaaand, I just saw that they don’t ship to Canada. Amazon.com (the US version) does, though, and for pretty cheap, so you could search for the ones you like there and be sure to check the “items like this” and “customers also viewed” sections.
I have no leads, but for reference, a good shot appears at 2:04 in this video.
Jessica Simpson’s line of shoes has a good selection of shiny high heels (sorry, “glossy patent leather pumps”). These Calie ones comes in a really nice deep red.

The heel isn’t quite as, spiky? but the color and level of shine looks right to me.
