Woo hoo!

O happy day: Kenley didn’t win, and we’ve hit $60,000! $60,570 at this writing, actually.

That is some excellent work right there, my friends.   Thank you all so much.   And extra-special tangoing-tomato thanks to the TN Challenge Cheerleading Squad, including Wing, Glark, Omar, terror on wheels Pam, Joe R, A. Cams, Heather, and Linda (who is really really into that headphones project, so hook her up).

Anyone I have not mentioned here who has flogged the Challenge on their sites, it’s not because I don’t love you.   It’s because I’m overextended and senile.   Feel free to email me to complain.

And now…an exciting announcement.

A very generous donor has offered to contribute a $10,000 match starting at 75K. All we have to do is get to $75,000; another ten grand is waiting there for us, so then it’s 85K.   And it’s not much further from there to 100K.   And then we dance.

More details when I get them, but the details you should focus on now are these: 1) Very Generous Donor has every faith in your ability to reach 75K; 2) her faith is absolutely not misplaced.   If you haven’t donated yet, it’s time to do it now.   Fifty dollars, five dollars, even one dollar will help.   The Hemingway mini-prize is still accepting receipts.

It’s October 16th.   Halfway there; don’t stop now.
