“I wrote 63 songs this year. They’re all about Jeter.” Just kidding. The game we love, the players we hate, and more.

Tomato Nation Read-Along #6: Consider the Lobster

Submitted by on November 15, 2010 – 8:23 AM11 Comments

Updated 29 November: Just a reminder that it’s Lobster time Wednesday, December 1. If you bought the book but haven’t started it yet, or feel discouraged about finishing, you should still join the live-chat discush on Wednesday night, because 1) it’s a book of essays, so you can read at least a little and not feel lost, and 2) we only stayed on topic for like ten minutes last time anyway. Just make a nice shiny Jean Auel reference and we’ll be off to the races. Hee.

The chat will start at 9 PM ET, right here on the TN homepage (the chat window lives inside a blog entry; just come to the homepage or look for a link on Twitter).

David Foster Wallace at last reaches the top of the TNRA polling, and Consider the Lobster is our next selection. It’s Kindleable, or you can find a hard copy on Half.com for as low as five bucks.

Thanksgiving is coming up, which is a pretty hectic time, but on the other hand, many of you will have plane trips to while away, so let’s shoot for Wednesday 1 December. Easy to remember, and we’ll have a live chat that night as well.

(For those of you who joined the last live chat and remember a certain Amy March sidebar: I need some graphic help. Please email me with “Amy March” in the subject line if you wouldn’t mind lending a hand on a little project. There is a small stipend involved.)
