TN in AC: Bet Red, Bet Road

The Atlantic City trip is set for the weekend of August 20. When exactly I will do my thing at the blackjack tables/on the boardwalk, and what specifically that “thing” is, I don’t know yet; it depends on casino security, when the A/V guru is free to leave, et cetera and so on.
It took for.e.ver to get it scheduled, and I apologize for that, but I hope you’ll come down the shore and join us…or at least enjoy the video when it’s done.

Awesomesauce. The lengthy delay of the scheduling works in my favor, actually, and now I have a little hope that I can join the fun!
That’s not…*too* far from DC! Now I must check my calendar. Too fun.
Oh, you’re killing me! I will be living in a dorm room and shepherding 145 college freshmen through academic boot camp. And the rest of the Nation will be in AC, having tomato-y fun times. Sigh.
@LaSalleUGirl – You’re not the only one in the Nation who will be sitting this trip out. AC is a bit of a hike from the Lone Star State, so I, too, will have to enjoy the Traveling Tomato via video.

I have to miss this road trip, too, since the fam is being visited that week by my cousins from Jersey. Oh, the irony. Have a great time & I’ll look forward to the video.

Durnit! I will be in Wildwood the following weekend… I wonder if I can just escape my family for the day. How to explain, though…
Him: “Where are you going?”
Me: “Atlantic City.”
Him: “Why, exactly?”
Me: “Um… this uh, internet person is going to dress up as a tomato and wander around…”
Him: “Where are you hiding the drugs?”
Me: “No! I’m serious. She dresses up like a tomato. Remember when I donated that cash last fall? That’s what she does when we raise a bunch of money because she doesn’t want to shave her head again.”
Him: “…”
Me: “See you later! Bet red!”

Him: Why do you want to donate a bunch of money to Donors Choose again?
Me: Because if I do, this internet person I don’t even know dresses like a tomato and goes places for our entertainment if we raise enough money.
Him: (Rolls Eyes) Whatever, weirdo.
I’m in Cali, so an AC trip is out of the question, but I’ll be there with you in spirit. Bet Red.
I’m still on for attending dressed as a stick of celery.
(If being 5’10 isn’t great for this, I don’t know what it’s great for.)

Atlantic City, huh? Don’t think I’ll be spending cash on a hotel room, but maybe a day trip is in order!
