Support Local Biz: September 13, 2008
From The House Next Door poobah Keith Uhlich:
I’m helping to run a film society in my neighborhood called “Film Park Slope.” It’s held, as long as scheduling allows, every month at Congregation Beth Elohim(271 Garfield Place; Brooklyn, NY 11215).
Our first screening of theseason is on Tuesday, September 23rd, start time 7:30pm. We’ll be presenting”Married Life,” co-written and directed by Ira Sachs. Ira (and possiblyco-writer Oren Moverman) will be joining us for a post-screening discussion. Theseries’ Facebook page is here.
Mr. S, Sol Keller, and I invite you to check out our new music/arts rehearsal space, King Killer Studios. Located in fragrant Gowanus, it’s ideal for practicing, putting together a lesson co-op, parking your potter’s wheel, and any and all manner of other artistic pursuits. A lease gets you 24-hour access to a big, high-ceilinged room with great soundproofing; peruse the King Killer blog for more information or to schedule a tour.
And finally, in case of 90210-related DVR failure, you can catch up right here.
