Welcome to one of the last 2008 Challenge updates. As of this writing, over $108,000. Truly thou art wonders to behold.
Also pretty dang wondrous: kids frolfing. Ultimate Frisbee was invented not far from my hometown, so scroll down for the mini-prize info and let’s try to polish it off — it needs about two grand, so if you still haven’t donated, and you’re debating between that gigundo bag of candy corn and giving a ten-spot to the contest (which, for the record, is a perfectly valid inner struggle)? Give it to the contest. The corn’s going on sale tomorrow anyway.

I’m impressed with the shear numbers of people on both of the last two projects (We’re Out of Ink! Hold the Presses! and Disc Golf For A Diverse Student Body). Keep chipping away people! We can do it. You know what it will add up to! Awesome! You know what it will look like to the teachers when they see all those donors? Awesome^2!
Please let’s not forget the school newspaper!

Wow, down to $400 on the Disc Golf and $900 on the newspaper. I’m doing a cartoon-style doubletake.
Let’s see. It’s payday, I won money in a baseball pool, the price of gas continues to drop, I didn’t have to pay for lunch. Yeah, it’s time to donate again.
Payday donation made! Come on, we’re so close to polishing these two projects off. I know we can do it.
Just a bit over $500 left to cover both of these projects! I think I’m getting the vapors. We all rock!
It’s the end of the day and business week, so my mental restraints are going, but as I check in and see the “money needed” numbers shrinking like a melting ice cube, I marvel! There’s a sweet little old lady inside my head going, “Oh, my! I just can’t believe it! Well, this is something!”
Holy cannolis, this is amazing! Looks like only a couple hundred left until all the TN chosen projects are TOTALLY FUNDED.

I was so afraid the newspaper wouldn’t be funded – I was ready to give again before I left for the evening. Tomato Nation is even more awesome than I thought.
Wow. 3:35 p.m. Central time and all we need is $150 more for the disc golf project…
and then we’ll be at DefCon Tomato!
