Our next read-along book is Whatever Happened to Pudding Pops: The Lost Toys, Tastes & Trends of the ’70s and ’80s, by Gael Fashingbauer Cooper and Brian Bellmont.
It’s available in paperback and Kindle editions, and we’ll welcome at least one of the authors for a live chat on Wednesday 29 June at 8:30 PM ET, so watch this space for details!

I’d love to win this. Surprisingly, the Toronto library system only has 3 copies of this in the system, all still on order, so I wouldn’t be able to follow along with the read-along.
I was just talking to my husband about pudding pops this weekend! I was thinking of trying to make some at home…
OK, now I am wishing for a pudding pop. They were good, man. :)
I’d also love a chance to win … the Mid-Columbia Library system in southeastern Washington state has NO copies listed, not even on order! (Not surprising, but depressing …)

@ Alison, making them at home is totally worth it. I used to make them with all my campers as an end of camp treat and they taste exactly like I remember!

Oooh pudding pops! I would get impatient dissolving the thin layer of ice encasing the creamy goodness beneath. Mum invariably bought the variety pack and then became annoyed when nobody wanted the vanilla pops.

Yay! This was my vote. I’m a sucker for nostalgia.
So . . . what did happen to Pudding Pops? Because they were my most favorite frozen treat ever. Will the book tell me? Even if not, I’d love to win a copy.
The author’s reading this here in Seattle today, but I wrenched the shit out of my ankle coming home from work last night, so I can’t go. When I can hobble down to the bookstore I will join the rest of the Nation on the printed page, though!

I blame too many banana pudding pops, a terrible perm, and the habit of borrowing my mom’s big plastic jewelry for the difficulty in adjusting to a new middle school.
I’m firmly of the opinion that it is wrong for the Kindle version to be more expensive than the paperback version.
