Daily round-up
Lots of meetings/running around/hucking my laptop hither and yon today, so I may not have time to update properly. Just in case, a few goodies to hold you…
My recaplet of the AI results show (and congratulations to Mr. Stupidhead, whose loathing of Sanjaya was threatening to cause a stroke), and my “weecap” of the latest RW/RR Challenge episode.
Keckler on comfort foods of Virginia.
Alan on the non-tegrity of AI.
And for those of you looking to put some good back into the world, support your local PBS station. American Experience and Frontline have really knocked it out lately.

Hey Joe R., how was the Sabres bar on the Upper East Side?
Is Alan going to be writing for TWoP now? Or were you just pimping a fellow blogger? Just curious, because I’ve loved him since he did he NYPD Blue recaps, and he’s my local television news reporter. So, if he’s going to be a TWoP recapper, I’m pretty stoked.
Thanks for the link about VA food. I work for a newspaper in VA and have been knee deep in the Tech story all week. I’ve been reaching for comfort food in between deadlines and sleep…and it just hit me that a lot of it has been classic VA fare. Funny how that kicked in. Apple Butter biscuits for everyone! We need it.
Did you catch Jonestown on American Experience last week? I won’t be getting over that one anytime soon.
HEY! I’ve been calling the group sing “Up With People” for years. Did you get that from me?
Or did I get it from you?
Or is it just obvious…..
I think it’s just hivemind.
Alan would be a credit to the staff, but he’s not joining us; I just liked the piece.
I couldn’t find the damn Jonestown piece in the local listings so I ordered it from the PBS site. I’m glad to hear it’s going to be worth the twenty-five damn dollars I shelled out for it.
BSD: We actually found a different bar on 9th Ave. that turned on the hockey game for us (and there was randomly another Sabres fan at the next table, which was fitting). But thanks for the Blue Moon rec anyway — that’s totally gonna be my go-to bar come the fall.
Unless you’re trying to support PBS, but you could just get the Jonestown DVD from your friendly neighborhood Netflix.
