Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind

An utterly charming, intelligent movie that trusts the audience to keep up. It’s smart, it’s sweet and sad, and what great performances by the entire cast — even Elijah Wood, for whom I had an irrational hate-on going in and who managed to nix years of shrieked “shut UP, Frodo!”s by 1) rocking the comma sideburns and 2) doing a hilarious job. And Jim Carrey is excellent. And…hot, which…okay, let’s not get into it, just trust me. Wonderful wonderful movie. (3/25/04)
