It’s for work, which allowed me to watch it with less hatred than I might have felt otherwise, but my Lord, what a paint-by-numbers bore. Joaquin is good, and Jacinda Barrett is surprisingly okay, but…oh, Travolta. How can you be a ham and phoning it in at the same time? Not that the script gave him more than half a character dimension to work with, but if Commodus can find a way to make it work, so can you. (1/11/06)
