NCheeseAA Update: What Stinks?
Government cheese’s ouster does, in my opinion, but the people have spoken, and the people like Boursin. And so do I, actually. Whatever your feelings on federal-issue cheese food, the Round Of 64 is over, and the bracket is updated with the next match-ups. It’s about to get even more exciting — Port Wine v. Boursin in a down-market-cocktail-party throwdown? The ingredients of fondue, fighting each other? You won’t want to miss it.
Keck and I have to build the Round Of 32 polls and do our match-up blurbs, but we’ll have the whole slate ready for you to vote on by Tuesday, April 15. Watch this space (and The Grub Report).

Yeah!! In your face, Kraft Singles!
Heh. Usually, you don’t see “In your face” and “Kraft Singles” in the same sentence, but it makes sense here.
Heh, again.
This has really caught my fancy. Very happy that in the grocery store region, Monterey Jack advanced. I’ve spent many happy hours over many years shredding pounds of it to melt on top of homemade enchiladas. Sorry to see Manchego be a one-and-done in the deli region.
Why do I love coming to this site? You’re taking polls about cheese. All the cool stories and The Vine and Girl’s Bike Club aside… you are polling people about cheese. How awesome is that.
THE GIRLS’ BIKE CLUB. How could I have forgotten about that? I’ve told my husband about it, and now whenever there’s a “news” story about some buttpipe acting up, he rolls his eyes and says “Pink. Schwinn. Daisies on the basket.”
