Return of the Dragon

Slower than I’d like — it’s nearly half an hour before there’s fight contact of any kind — and horribly stagy, but still worth watching, for three reasons: 1) the wardrobe, which is ’73 to the max; 2) Bruce Lee’s gathering-storm falsetto crooning during the fights (“ahhh…ah?…ooo-OOOO”); and 3) Chuck Norris. Given the build-up about Colt, his fighting isn’t all that impressive relatively speaking; his sideburns, however, are extremely impressive, and his back hair, holy crap. His back hair has back hair of its own. And he, like, kind of tries to menace Bruce Lee by revealing his shoulder pelt. It’s pretty awesome. (4/14/06)
