Whatever. I’m-a go eat a pizza.
Thanks for the contest, Sars and Keckler! This was fun.
Dude, whatever. I will be laughing all the way to the Cabot Cheese Factory. Oh Vermont, how I have missed you and your delicious, delicious cheddar.
Clearly I need to buy some to celebrate the glorious win.
Blessed are the cheesemakers.
And the cheese shall inherit the earth..?
Go British Cheddar, GO! You’re no Stilton, but you’ll do.
@Keckler – I told my dad about you, Sars, and the NCheeseAA. He thought it was awesome. He said to tell you to check out http://www.ontariocheese.org – a link to the Ontario Cheese Society. He and one of his coworkers swung by my place tonight – His coworker said since you’re in San Fran, he recommends the Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese, which is near you – they only sell online. Fantastic blues, apparently.
Sars, this has nothing to do with the cheese champ, but I thought you (and the other grammar loving folks) would like this shirt:

And this *had* to make me crave cheddar the week I need to give up dairy (temporarily, I hope)…
And for those on the opposite end of the country (i.e. not near Canada), there are the Houston Dairymaids: http://houstondairymaids.com/
Oh, believe me, Hellcat, I’m all over Pt. Reyes cheese. I pick up shifts at Cowgirl Creamery in SF. They make their own delicious cheeses — Mt. Tam, Red Hawk, etc — but Pt Reyes is one of our Tomales Bay Foods partners.
Pt. Reyes doesn’t just sell online — their famous blue is carried at Cowgirl, Whole Foods, and the better grocery stores out here. I’m pretty sure that Whole Foods even carries Pt. Reyes Blue across the country because my mother-in-law can get it in Northern Virginia.
I say, “Pffft!” to British Cheddar. I’m going to go eat some brie now.
Just because you guys are obviously as obsessed with cheese as myself – check out Sweet Grass Dairy – a small dairy down in Thomasville, Georgia – I had their semi-ripened cow Green Hill (kind of like a brie) last night ansd it rocked my world…

“Well let’s keep it simple, how about Cheddar?”
“Well, I’m afraid we don’t get much call for it around these parts.”
“No call for it? It’s the single most popular cheese in the world!”
Monty Python called it!
