Tomato Nation Read-Along #4: Bryson’s Dictionary of Troublesome Words
Our next book, by a hair, is Bryson’s Dictionary of Troublesome Words: A Writer’s Guide to Getting It Right. I tremble to think of all the words I’m about to find out I’ve been using incorrectly since the ’80s. It’s available via the link above, on Kindle, and on Half.com for as little as 75 cents.
It seems like a book we’ll want to discuss while reading it, versus afterwards, so I’ll open the discussion thread earlier this time around: Thursday 9 September.

Woo! My library had this with no waitlist. Every other BB book had multiple hold requests. Can’t wait!

Then you can sit in the rocker until you know the difference between “nonplussed” and “unenthused.”
@Mertseger and Sars: Thanks for the much-needed chuckle on this sultry, pre-September day! *air hugs* Very clever, Peeps!
Huzzah! One I own already and have been meaning to read again. I’ll imply, you infer!
Is there a lot of sex in this book? ‘Cause I don’t want to read a book with a lot of sex in it.
Yay! I have that one on my shelf right now.
