Meh. I wanted to like it; Campbell and Pitoc are quite charming in it, although they don’t have a ton of chemistry. But while it got certain things perfectly right (the teeny apartments, the rando roommates, the crappy midnight shows everyone seems to do in their early twenties, Brad Beyer’s ur-Chipster hairdo), others were just wrong, or too contrived — and forget what you heard, Tori is bad. It’s not a hundred percent her fault, she’s saddled with some tough dialogue, but she’s just not up to it. And it’s a bit dated, too. (8/22/06)
