Contest: Search/Sort Function, And More Loot

Submitted by on October 6, 2009 – 12:54 PM15 Comments

You guys: Amanda, Intern of Mystery and Verse is really very awesome.   She’s built a searchable/sortable spreadsheet of all current projects: sort by state, grade level, expiration, whatever you want, AND there’s a FAQ!

I’ll add this link to all pertinent pages, but it should make TN giving page projects much easier to find, AND all links do contain TN’s challenge ID.

Now all you need is clothes and games, so: anyone who has donated or will donate today is eligible for one of 7 bright red Sonic Limeades for Learning t-shirts and one of 2 Uno card sets — or, at the suggestion of reader Rinaldo, a $15 gift card at Pizzeria Uno.   Just forward your receipt(s), and you’re all set!

Questions?   Ask ’em.   Otherwise: search and sort like the wind, friends.

Amanda is freakishly amazing… wait no… AWESOME, that’s better. Nicely done. And now I can see that we have 4 incredibly urgent projects that need to get funded right away… Check out the “Expiration” tab…..

  • MelissaC says:

Oh my gosh, how much does Amanda rock?

    So much! Great job, Amanda!

  • Driver B says:

And it’s a GOOD-LOOKING spreadsheet too! Nice job Amanda!

  • Rinaldo says:

Amanda is clearly awesome as well as witty.

(Although as an old Chicago boy, I was hoping that the Uno tag meant a gift certificate for Pizzeria Uno.)

  • Krissa says:

I would inappropriately tongue kiss GoogleDocs if I could – and I especially love spreadsheets. I might have to go lie down for a bit at the pure joy of this.

Amanda – “awesome” barely scratches the surface.

  • Sarah D. Bunting says:

@Rinaldo: Well, why not. I’ll research that and see if I can’t throw one of those in as well.

  • Leigh in CO says:

This makes the shopping even more fun – I don’t feel like maybe I skipped a page of the catalog. :D

  • Sharon says:

That spreadsheet was genius. I found the perfect project and sent in my donation! Excellent work!

  • Amanda! at the Disco says:

Thanks, guys! Glad it’s doing the job!

  • Katie says:

Oops–THIS is where I should’ve praised the spreadsheet. ALL PRAISE TO THE SPREADSHEET, AND TO THE CREATOR THEREOF. It helped me donate to multiple projects because I knew where to look.

  • Jess F says:

The spreadsheet is all kinds of Awesome! Plus, totally helpful when coming up with mini-prize sets :)

  • Rinaldo says:

Good lord, Sarah, I was just kidding with the Uno comment (I mean, I’m serious about loving the place, but I don’t expect the universe to be remade to my pleasure)! And here you go ahead and add it!

This site is off the charts of awesomeness.

  • Laura says:

Excellent work, Amanda. I love this.

  • Laura says:

    And after perusing the spreadsheet…

    As a math/science nerd, I’d like to give a shout-out to this project: http://www.donorschoose.org/donors/proposal.html?id=280065&challengeid=23248

It expires in only 6 days! If the TN donors get to play Uno, these little Texans deserve to play Connect Four, Battleship and dominoes.

  • KER says:

Amanda rocks! I like to sort by expiration date to see all the “completed” notes :)
