Goin’ All The Way, Day 8: Crown a king and queen
Talk about sparkly: as of this writing I’m seeing $27,504 donated, almost twenty-one thousand students reached, and 192 projects funded! Lissen lissen lissen: I LOVE YOU GUYS! Keep it going! More than halfway to that 50K mark!
Today we have a special mini-contest via Reader K and a mysterious coterie of faerie sprites, who invite you to Take Your Pet To Prom! Anyone donating to the TN Prom Page using a pet donor account (like this guy) could win a $30 gift card from PetCo! That’s a lot of chew toys. Thanks, guys!
You can also donate to projects about Dr. King; projects about King Tut; science projects in Queens, NY; or this nifty entrepreneurship-library project in Oklahoma — which, not for nothing, is a class taught by one Mr. Nation.
Donate to these, or any other projects on the TN Prom Page; forward your receipts to bunting at tomatonation dot com; and you could win that PetCo card (if you gave through a pet donor page), a $25 Starbucks card (thanks, Sarah!), or a $25 Etsy code (thanks, Melissa!)
Another match code kicks in tomorrow; let’s get as much done as we can today! Tiaras on, wallets out, let’s go!
(Here’s the contest FAQ, and once again, here’s the prom page.)

Drool…Etsy! I’ve got my leash on and I am ready for prom!
Match code is back! Use the word PROM at checkout and double your donation up to $500!
I just wanted to thank the Tomato Nation for funding my DonorsChoose.org project, which was to get books from my school’s Steampunk Reading Club. I started the club to encourage student reading and it has been a surprising success. The biggest problem I have is keeping the student members in books!
Your generosity will insure that we will start the next year with a bang!
I’ll be happy to keep you updated on the club’s activities next year.
