TN Fall Contest: More Matching Funds!
A generous anonymous donor — known henceforth as “$ and the Mysterians” — has offered to provide a chunk of matching funds if/when we reach various donation milestones in the contest.
So, if/when we hit $80,000, $ will donate $2,500, and if when we hit $90,000, $ will donate another $2,500.
I don’t think we’ll have any trouble at all reaching 80K — we’re pretty close now, 77+ K as of this writing — but what the hell, it’s time for another mini-prize. Donors who contribute to the “Art Doesn’t Grow on Trees… or Does It?” project will be eligible to win a gift certificate from the Metropolitan Museum’s online gift shop, as well as eligible for the main prizing.

Wow, that’s so sweet I’m gonna cry… 96 tears…
Sorry. I had to.
Anyway, this is unbelievably cool. Thanks, $!
Oooh, I love origami, I love museum stores, and I looooove awesome donors who match funds! As Michael Scott would say, Win – Win – Win!
Do we need to send our receipt specificly from the art project if we’ve already entered the main drawing?
If you want to be considered for the gift cert, yes, you need to forward me a receipt from that project also. You’ll get the same form response you get for the other, but again, this won’t disqualify you from the main drawing; before I do that one, I will weed out any dupes so that everyone is entered only once.
79%! Not quite a thousand more, and we add another $2,500 to the pot.
We’re over 80K! I just pushed us over with “Beam Me Up Scotty”! Let’s see those matching funds!
Yay! It’s Sunday and we hit 80K! Which means (Captain) Awesome $ and the Mysterians will donate some of their money. Whoo-hoo!
I believe $ is spending as we speak. Thanks, $!
Go CAPTAIN AWESOME $ and the AWESOME MYSTERIANS!!!!
We love you, whoever you are!
Oh! Do we get to find out what awesome projects $ funded? Books? Worms? Trips to interesting places?
