Jane Misha Bunting, born 16 September 2014, 10:10 AM, seven pounds, one ounce; and her favorite aunt. Everyone is healthy and in fine fettle, and though photos exist of Dodo bunny-earing the newest arrival, you’ll just have to make do with this one.
Everyone’s fine. Jane has already farted on my hand, so she’s in the club, and Master S — who is pretty much exactly the same age I was when Mr. S was born — is already enamored of the little missy.
…If somewhat skeptical.
Yeeaaaaahhhh I made that face too, boss. Give it a few presidents, she’ll come online.

It’s good that Master S has you to tell him all the good things about being the older sibling. When my oldest nephew found out he was going to have another baby brother, his biggest concern was whether he would always be the oldest. Just remind Master S of that and he should be okay.
Yup, Master S’s expression is the one my nephew wore when my niece was born. She preferred to spend her first week on earth looking horrified at everything around her. They have long gotten over it in the 12 years since then. Congrats!
