Update: Nate The Christmas Kitty Finds A Home
From our faithful cat-placement correspondent Nacho:
Nate went to his new family on Friday. Like the ridiculously perfect kitty heis, he didn’t even make a chirp during the car ride. (He doesn’t meow; hechirps.) When we got there, I took him out of his carrier and held him forprobably ten seconds before he calmed right down and became curious about hissurroundings. I handed him off to his new mommy (Bridget) and he startedpurring after a short period of time. His ears didn’t even go back when he sawthe dog! I swear, he couldn’t be more wonderful. I just know he’s going to behappy with Bridget and her family. And he never would’ve ended up in such agreat home without you and Tomato Nation. Thanks so much, Sars!
No need to thank me, I just sat here. Well done, Nacho and Bridget — one more dangerously cute feline off the streets. Heh.

Hooray for another happy cat! Your readers are AWESOME!
and now I have to hug my tiger tribe, who were all shelter kitties in their earliest months…sniffle!
What Robin said.
Awwww! This gives me that tiny, tentative, hopeful feeling that maybe 2009 will be better, after all.
Congratulations to the new family! And if you wanted to send updates now and then, they’d be appreciated.
Awwww. The Tomato Nation Cat Underground Railroad has another success story! I’m so glad Nate has a happy home (and, judging from the photo, a very happy Person).
awwww…I needed that little pick me up to start the day. Sars, any updates on Nikolai?
I’m such a wimp – this made me cry. :)
I love happy endings. This made me a lot less cranky than I was before I read it.
I’m glad we could bring a little sunshine into the day. Nate is doing really well. He’s very patient with the kids and in negotiations with the pre-existing dog and cat. (The vet may have neutered him, but Nate’s still got balls of steel when it comes to the dog!) He explores a little more of the house every day. He’s a little sweetie and we’re thrilled to be another happy TNURR chapter!
Chirping, fluffy-faced kitty worn as shoulder ornament–just does NOT get better than this!
@Mary: I just wrote to Leila to get an update, and he’s doing very well — he’s very finicky about his food and ignores his scratching post in favor of the couch, so basically, he’d have fit right in around here (heh), but otherwise doing very well, loves his new home and it loves him too.
Matt is sending some pictures, and possibly a video of Niko attacking a laser pointer dot. Aw.
Awwww, that’s awesome news!
Aww! I’m so happy that Nate is doing good in his new home.
And, I can not wait for Nikolai pictures! If a video is also shown, I may die from teh cute!
Hurray! I love watching pets pursue a futile objective!
See, now it is going to be harder for me to be grouchy today after reading this story…oh well. I can return to the grouchy tomorrow.
P.S. yay
I keep coming back to look at that wonderful photo! Awwwwww….
Kudos to everyone who helped getting Nacho to a new home! Yay! I hope everything continues to go great, Bridget!
Aw yay, thanks for the updates on Nate and Nikolai.
::sniff:: Congrats, Nacho, Nate and Bridget!
