I’ve been looking for a true crime novel that I remember reading about. Multiple searches have turned up nothing.

I think it’s written by the son of a woman murdered by a fellow church member after he became obsessed with the author’s family. I think there was something about his father getting suspicious about shady dealings with the church that they were members of. His father may have been the new pastor.

Best,

Cloe

Cloe,

Googling that exact string turned up A Twisted Faith, which doesn’t sound like quite the right thing — but it’s unclear whether it’s a true-crime book or a novel based on a real case. Maybe it’s the Arthur Burton Schirmer case, but that doesn’t sound like the one either.
