Dear Sarah,

I guess it’s pretty straightforward. I ended a six-year relationship about two to three months ago. I have been over the relationship for at least a year, so I’m not having any residue sitting around; however, my beef is that every time I’m flirting with girls, whether I know them or not, I end up losing my momentum.

Where has my manly potential gone?

Mud

Dear Mud,

I don’t quite know what you mean by “momentum,” but regardless, you need to give yourself more time. It takes a little while to get back into the rhythm of flirting, so ease up on it, and on yourself. Your manly potential will return.
