A sign for me; a bargain for you

Submitted by on September 27, 2007 – 2:59 AM22 Comments

In the midst of a ruthless bedroom-shelving weed sesh this afternoon, I found myself confronted with a very heavy box whose contents were a mystery to me. Said contents? Girls’ Bike Club CDs. On the plus side, it reminded me to get cracking on Chapter 17 in our saga, in which Sean Penn and Angelina Jolie get married. (Oh, you’ll see.) On the minus side, I ain’t got room for these bad boys, so I’m selling them for $5 a pop.

Want one? BUYERS IN THE U.S.: Send $5 via PayPal to sars (at) tomatonation (dot) com; make sure to include your address. One CD per order. Shipping is included, plus a TN sticker. BUYERS OUTSIDE THE U.S.: Send $8 via PayPal to sars (at) tomatonation (dot) com; make sure to include your address. One CD per order. Shipping is included, plus a TN sticker. I’m not as free to get to the post office as I have been in the past, so shipping may not be terribly prompt; I will do my best, but depending on where you live, it could take a couple of weeks for the CD to arrive.

Sale lasts until I get sick of it. Questions, let me know.

I actually can’t find it in ITunes – is it still available there?

  • Sars says:

I actually can’t either; let me look into that.

  • denit says:

This is the American iTunes only, right?

  • Sars says:

It is not showing up for me on American iTunes; I can’t speak for the other iTuneseses.

  • Erin says:

Aw…I was just listening to my copy of GBC last night. I’m surprised that I can basically recite it from memory as I listen to it, yet I keep listening to it repeatedly. It’s like comedy comfort food. I can’t wait for Volume 2! :-)

  • Sars says:

The official word is that the GBC album is *not* available on iTunes any longer, for distribution reasons that don’t bear getting into. The salient point is that, for now, the only way to get the CD is via the fire sale.

I’ve edited the main post to indicate that it’s now available to buyers abroad, but please attend the non-fine print re: shipping times.

  • Dabney says:

I just put in my order.

  • Sharon says:

Just wanted to clarify, as I’m from Canada (and a little stupid this morning) – we should pay in USD, correct? Thanks!

  • Sars says:

    Yes, USD only, please.

  • Karalynn says:

I put the song “Fat Bottomed Girls” by Queen on my ipod. Whenever I hear the line “Get on your bikes and ride” I picture the whole band rolling out on little pink bikes with flowery baskets on the front and those tassel-y things hanging off the handlebars. And they all ring their bells.

I don’t know if you are responsible for this but it makes me laugh every time, so Thanks!

  • Sarah says:

Awesome! I made a note to download the whole set, but with the iTunes scare they’re gonna fly like Police tickets. Glad I got the order in early. And yes, happily awaiting the sequel.

  • LP says:

Hee. As a Canadian, I’m relieved to hear about the change – but the first time I read this post, all I could think was – “There are no sweet rolls!”

Why yes, I AM a long time reader! Grin.

  • wendalette says:

Is there any way to order without said Paypal account? I will gladly send you a money order for a GBC CD.

  • Sars says:

    PayPal only, I’m afraid.

  • Molly says:

Oooo, more GBC in the near future? I finally have a reason to get out of bed in the morning! (Sadly, this isn’t much of an exaggeration.) Can’t wait!

And Erin, I totally know what you mean. I’ve also READ the GBC entries so many times I can pinpoint each and every cut made (and I’m still sorry that the whole Barry Williams thing had to go. I’d give anything to hear the words “No, I don’t want to kiss ‘Little Johnny Bravo,’ you DWEEB” spoken aloud). Probably not sane or healthy, but it never stops making me laugh.

  • Stephie says:

Mine is on the way! I am so psyched!!!

  • Llyzabeth says:

Yay! Mine just arrived! Wow that was fast, thanks!!

  • Jenn says:

I need a replacement GBC shirt as I have just about worn it out…

  • ellie says:

Every time you re-post this I feel a little disappointed that I am not getting the new chapter of GBC as promised. I’m up to checking the site three times a day to see if today is the day it will be up! And now I’m off to re-read some favorite chapters…again.

  • denit says:

So, do you ship to Australia? Or is non-US just Canada?

  • Sars says:

ellie: It’s in process. I was rolling along and then OJ and Britney and Britney’s bodyguard kept salting me with new headlines. Almost done.

denit: I ship any old where. Like I say above, international orders might go out somewhat slowly, but I certainly accept them (just pay in U.S. funds, please).

  • Princess Leah says:

What fast shipping! Thank you for making the morning commute that much more GBC-ilicious.
