All Things Considomared

Submitted by on November 18, 2007 – 11:16 AM7 Comments

All y’all Omar G fans, keep an ear out for the man himself on All Things Considered tomorrow on NPR, doing a segment on OS X Leopard. And don’t believe what he says; Om has superpowers of his own and doesn’t need mine.

Elsewhere, I interview The Daily Show‘s Rob Kutner about the strike.

Nice interview, Sars. It was very interesting to a non-TV-watcher to get the feel for what’s going on a little more. (I know, sacrilege!) :)

  • Rachel says:

The interview was good, but it seemed like Rob needed to warm up a bit – he seemed a little incoherent there in the beginning! I can imagine that all these writers feel similarly – there has got to be a pretty high level of frustration there.

And, related but not really – there was a blurb in the paper this morning (probably pulled from the wire) about Colbert raising $59,000 in one whole month. I thougth “Pshaw! We did that in like, a week! Amateur!”

  • Drew says:

I just checked out “All Things Considered” on npr.org, and Omar’s interview wasn’t on today. Any word on when it might make it to air?

  • Omar G. says:

It was originally supposed to be on last Friday, so I’m not sure what’s up exactly. The Kindle was pretty big tech news Monday and I wasn’t surprised it got bumped.

Hoping it’ll be on today, but I haven’t gotten any updates on an airdate.

  • Drew says:

And indeed it was broadcast on Tuesday. Just finished listening to it online. Good job with the interview, Omar, and with your own blog entry as well. I always get the feeling I’d probably respond to Michelle’s voice the same way.

  • drsue says:

Omar’s interview was on last night. He sounded very intelligent and knowledgeable. Except he didn’t let Michele that “panther” had already been used as an os code name when she asked him if that would be the next name.

I’m a telecom IT geek, and SAG is our sister union…maybe I’ll get to picket with Goran Visnjic. Purely in the interests of solidarity & all.
    Hey, a girl can dream!

Thanks for the links, Sars. V. interesting stuff!
