Brothers & Sisters: “Patriarchy”

“Family Values”:

You know that scene in Zoolander when they introduce David Bowie to judge the walk-off, and they freeze-frame on him with a subtitle reading “David Bowie” and a chord from “Let’s Dance”? This is kind of what happens in my head every time Michael Beach is on a show I watch. “Sweet, it’s Michael Beach! [Wow-wuh-wow-wow-wuh-wow.]”

That moment in Zoolander always irritates me: Bowie needs no introduction! Who needed to be told it was him?

    Am I just old?

Just read the recap and it was like watching it all over again, though I have to confess, I don’t get the Michael Beach love. *Adam* Beach, sure, but Doc was such an ass on Third Watch I guess I got permanently turned off.

However, I actually teared up at the part about what you’d do to keep Mr. Stupidhead from enlisting. Me too.
