Blech. I remember this being quite a well-regarded movie, and I don’t see why, honestly; it’s so treacly, and several of the main characters are off-putting, primarily by dint of their one-note acting. A lot of the vignettes don’t add up to much, by the end…I found myself wondering why I was shown this family, these snippets. It just felt assembled by numbers, somewhat, and I couldn’t plug into it.
