  • Karen says:

Is that Zach from Saved by the Bell on Ugly Betty?

  • Kelsey says:

My reaction when I logged on this morning (as you do) went something like this:

    ….the hell?

  • Sarah says:

My initial reaction is that The Beek is flipping me off, but I don’t know if that’s what you are referring to!

  • Kerry says:

    He looks good!

But also, how come he has a job and Pacey doesn’t?

  • Omar G. says:

The “Bitch Called Wanda” headline made me laugh because I’d seen last night’s “Ugly Betty.” The Tubey brain was the second thing that stood out.

  • Maria says:

I saw it earlier, and my first thought was, “Oh, wow. Giant Beek. He’s aging better than I would have thought.” 2nd thought: “HEE! Beek’s all big on the homepage again. My, how full circle we’ve all come.” 3rd thought: “There will be an uproar. There may be injuries.”

These all occurred within about 1.5 nanoseconds.

  • Amy says:

It’s all photos of white men’s faces. Except for the bionic woman.

  • mkd says:

Is the Bionic Woman the only woman on TV this week? All the other pictures are of guys.

  • Janna says:

My initial reaction is nicely summed up by the end of the blurb, to wit:

    AAAAHHHHHHH!

  • HielanLass says:

    Hey, ol’ CerealBoxHead is back!

  • Suzanne says:

    AAAAHHH!! NOOOOO!
    Five-head LIVES!!!!

  • Siobhan says:

    My eyes! my eyes!

  • Stephen says:

    The Beek looks cute.

    And now I hate myself.

  • Sars says:

My bet was that “AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK” would rule the day.

  • Sars says:

But my second reaction was, “He doesn’t look bad. For…him.”

  • Liz says:

    My initial reaction precisely: “BEEK!!!”

    Then I started laughing.

  • Karen says:

I’m so ashamed that I mistook the Beek for another character from another ridiculous show.

  • autiger23 says:

    “At left: AAAAHHHHHHH!”

AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, INDEED! It was my comment as soon as I saw the fivehead and then I saw it written there in the caption and laughed and laughed.

  • Driver B says:

    AAAH, The Beek!

    Then, oh, he’s working again?

  • Claire says:

@Sars: Agreed. Let’s blame that second reaction on the lighting and camera angle and call it a day.

  • emily says:

    the Fivehead returns!

    The caption nails it best.

  • Katie says:

    “He doesn’t look bad. For…him.”

    That was my exact reaction.

Then a feeling of nostalgia. I think that feeling was wrong though.

  • Bronte says:

    Heh,

My first thought was “Was there a flashback this week and this is Alexis pre-Op?”

Thankfully I discovered TWoP post-Dawson, and it always aired on the night I had choir. As a result I have less Beek automatic backlash than many.

  • Kate H says:

Aaand my morning came crashing to a halt after slamming into that fivehead.

  • Mel says:

My first reaction was to laugh at the Beek. And then laugh at the square-ness of the Beek. And then laugh at myself because they’ve been rerunning the whole series here on Channel five (in the UK) and I’ve been watching it during my lunch hour.

  • Krissa says:

Beeeeeeeeek. But really, he doesn’t look bad, playing a character much closer to his actual age. Much more believable.

    And seriously, where’s Pacey?

  • kona says:

The beek is SO BIG. Also, I miss Glark’s drawings.

On an unrelated note that the homepage reminded me of, I’ve read and reread the rules and instructions 100 times, but TV Bigshot still confuses the crap out of me.

  • Elizabeth says:

Other than having to see James VanDerEEK?

  • Rachel says:

I must admit the Beek’s hairstyle is a good look for him – his forehead doesn’t look as huge as it normally does!

  • Jo says:

Clearly I don’t get it. Because I just see a normal TWOP page. Was there some problem that’s been fixed or does whatever it is not show up on my browser? Can someone explain?

  • Rachel says:

“Is The Beek gonna have to cut a bitch?” was, honestly, my first reaction. Seriously, what is that pose? Clearly I must go home immediately to watch Ugly Betty.
My second was “At least he looks better than he did on Criminal Minds last season.”
Third was “But he’s still The Beek.”

  • Christie says:

Zack vs Dawson… not sure which is more annoying.

  • Jaybird says:

My first reaction was that Tubey was cooking some chili. Then I noticed Beek Von Noggin, and sort of yarked a little. Because I thought we cut off his head and stuffed his mouth with like, five pounds of garlic.

  • Chyna says:

My reaction: If I didn’t know what a bad actor he was, I’d think he looks kind of cute. It helps that the shorter bangs cover up some of the five-head.

  • FloridaErin says:

My gut reaction was “Ooooh, he looks great!”

And then I wanted to kill myself.

I think it’s the hair cut. That’s a really nice haircut on him.

  • JennB says:

I thought someone would put up a photo of Wanda/Ugly Wili, so I was surprised to see what’s-his-face.

  • mignue says:

What Stephen and Sars said. I can’t believe that I think he looks good, but… He looks good. I don’t watch Ugly Betty, though, so I might have been cured if I had actually seen him in action.

  • rhiannon says:

I’ll admit that there was a spit take there.

But between the “A Bitch Called Wanda” and the Clone High reference in the description of the Gossip Girl recaplet, I still love you. Even if it did put the Makeover song back in my head. Where it hasn’t left yet.

  • Kristin says:

The Beek is back?!!! And he looks… not entirely unappealing? Or did I miss something else?

  • Kerry says:

Yeah, Zach was on NYPD Blue. I think.

  • Kerry says:

And John From Cincinnati! Zach from Saved by the Bell, and Dylan McKay from 90210, as well as Al Bundy, were all on John From Cincinnati.

  • Kate says:

“Wow, his head looks smaller. Sort of.”

  • Elizabeth says:

    My first thought was:
    “Aw man. Him again?”

My next was: “Hm. Well… better. But still.”

  • Marnie says:

    Made me laugh, actually.

  • Jillian says:

James van der Beek looks hotter than he ever looked on Dawson’s Creek.

  • Jen says:

My reaction was: I thought you hated that guy and where are the stinging one-liners about his giant forehead?

  • Natalie says:

I was hoping there’d be a singing-and-dancing Hugh Jackman pic for the Viva Laughlin recaplet.

Am I the only person who suffered through the first 15 minutes of that sad show just to watch Hugh, and then immediately turned the TV off? No? Good. :)

And I’m ashamed to say that I didn’t recognise the Beek… but then, I’ve never seen an episode of Dawson’s Creek, so hopefully I’m forgiven.

  • Sars says:

Damn you, Glarkazar! DAMN YOUUUUU, GLARKAZAAAAARRRRR! [shakes fist]
