I haven’t though about The Outsiders in years, but my love for the book, and by extension, the movie, knew no equal when I was 13.
“Golder,” i.e. “more gold.”
Which is what I chant at stoplights when I hope to make it through the intersection before they change. “Stay green! ‘Cause green is like gold. Which is not ideal but still better than red.”
As someone for whom life all but stops if I happen upon this movie while flipping channels, I say fabulous & right on! In fact, my friends and I still often yell a hearty, “Let’s do it for Johnny!” in place of a “Let’s roll” or a “Hurry up.”
And as for watching it without sound, I’d love it; I’m pretty sure I could supply the dialogue anyway.
