The Blues Brothers

I’d never seen it before, and I liked it well enough, but not to sit and watch; it’s better as a movie that you have on in the background and you can go in and out of, because it drags in spots and some of the music set pieces go on too long.   I still don’t quite get it, though, as this beloved movie that everyone was shocked I had never seen.   I watched it; I laughed a few times; I…don’t see the big whoop.   Probably should have watched it fifteen years ago.   (10/3/05)
