The N Cereal AA

Submitted by on June 22, 2009 – 8:54 PMNo Comment

updated4 August, 9 AM, with a crowned winner: Frosted Flakes

We’ve crownedan N Cheese AA champion, and one in the NC Double Scoop.   Now it’s timefor yet another series of showdowns in the grocery aisle, as Bunt/WingIndustries brings you the latest in argument-starting, craving-causing,crowd-participation food-fight bracketology!Get ready to milk it as wekick off…THE N Cereal AA!

TNfood-bracket vets will remember how the tourney works (the N.C. DoubleScoop bracket is right here, if you’d like to have a look), but incase you’re new, or need a refresher:

First we’llpost the commentary on the match-ups for each round.   Keckler, having just generated a fearsome entry inthe World’s Cutest Baby bracket, is sitting this one out, but luckily Wing Chun has tagged in for the cereals bracket.

Then I’ll putup the polls right here on Tomato Nation, so watch the front page orthe Twitter feed for updates.   You’ll have a day or two to vote eachslate, and then we close the polls, tally the results, update thebracket, and start the process over again for the next round.

All you haveto do is keep an eye on TN and TaraAriano.com, vote in the polls, andwatch your favorites crunch the competition. You can find updates andinstructions on this page throughout the tournament.

Questions?Drop an email to bunting at tomatonation dot com.

Again, thecereals bracket is here.

Where dowe vote?

Right here on TN.   As of this writing, voting is open for the final,Honey Nut Cheerios vs. Frosted Flakes; you’ll have several days tochoose a champion.

How couldyou leave off [cereal] and include [other cereal]?!

With only 64slots in four areas, we couldn’t include everything.Email us if youlike.

Why is [x]in one category but [y] in another?!

Again: 64slots; 4 flights of 16 each.   We do our best to classify everythingcorrectly within the limits of the bracket structure, but the bracketstructure…has limits, and we won’t be able to please everyone.  Inevitably, some folks will feel like their favorite flavor got shankedin the draw, or that we aren’t scientific enough, but we encourage youjust to have fun with it.

You shouldabsolutely email me if you spot any mistakes, but please understand that”I think your ranking of Golden Grahams is BULLSHIT!!!1!” is more of adifference of opinion than an error.

When canwe expect the N. Cookie A.A.?

Later in’09.   Mmm, snickerdoodles.
