  • Hey folks, I’m getting psyched for whatever you have in store for me. I loved some of your comments this past week — especially Michelle, who said “I’ve only completed the intoduction and I’m already pissed off at these jackholes.” and Jen S who sais, “I’m already halfway through and the rage is steadily building.” All I can say is… welcome to my world, ladies!

I’ll repost here/below what I posted at Sarah’s last mention of this chat, just to let you know the field is wide open.

You want to know how CBS/Viacom/Infinity Broadcasting manufactured the illusion of popular demand for Survivor for months before it ever aired? Think you know how many dating show dudes have had domestic violence or sexual assault in their pasts before being cast as Prince Charming on network &cable? Agree or disagree that VH1 has revived the minstrel show for the modern media era? Feel like calling bullshit on Fox’s Mike Darnell & VHI’s former mucketymuck, Michael Hirschorn, who blame us for their cynical programming decisions (or, you want to defends those wonks)? You want to come up with additional reality tv drinking games to supplement the ones that are already in my “Fun with Media Literacy” chapter? Bring it, T-Nation. This’ll be fun.

Thanks for the chat, Sars, that was awesome! I wouldn’t mind a part II if it’s ever feasible.
