…at percent 66. Well done, lads and lasses. Very well done indeed. About 12K to go before we hit the initial goal.

In the meantime: ping-pong.

    WOW! TN readers rock!

    We’re now at 68%. Neat!

  • Doriette says:

Holy crikey, two percent in thirty minutes.

  • Sars says:

I know, what the hell? Pardon me: “What the awesome hell?”

  • Ruby says:

    69% now. Hee.

  • Clairezilla says:

Wow, now it’s 69%. This is kind of creepy, but in a good way.

  • Cij says:

It’s so awesomely cool to see how everyone has thrown themselves so enthusiastically into this challenge. Sars, I’m thinking some elvish red boots (with those long, pointed curling up toes) will go magnificently with your Tomato Clothing.

  • Grace says:

This is unbelievable! I looked at the project list last night and was considering to sponsor some of them – they’re all fully funded now!

How about adding some new projects, particularly some in the San Francisco Bay Area? I’m a regular donor to Donors Choose, and I’d like to direct some of the money to schools in my area, as well as the NY schools.

  • Catherine says:

Holy crap. At this rate, I’d better get my ass in gear and donate before it’s all done. Way to go, Sars and Tomato Nation, uh, Nation.

  • Carena says:

    70!!!
I don’t get paid until the end of the week… and I’m feeling left out! LOL

  • Jennifer says:

Sars, I’ve sent two emails to DonorsChoose and still have not received my email receipt. If total disaster strikes, would you accept a pdf of the “My Impact” page from “My Account” for a contest entry?

  • FloridaErin says:

Holy crap. An hour later and 71%. Dang, people.

  • Bronte says:

71% another 3% in what? an hour max!

  • Jen says:

I’m competitive about all sorts of ridiculous things, which I know is bad, but thanks to Sars and TN readers, I don’t have to feel ashamed of my character flaw– at least for this week. Being competitive about being generous is actually kind of awesome!

  • attica says:

Whee! I put some scratch into a woebegone project that seemed to be getting no love at around 10 am today; it’s already fully funded! Woe: be gone!

  • Mint Mogul says:

Sars — you have harnessed a great force in your readers, like an army of smart, snarky, generous soldiers. I feel that we should be deployed to solve other ills, like the A-Team, but different.

  • Jane says:

I just got a little thank-you email saying the project I had contributed to yesterday is now fully funded. Cheesy as it sounds…I got goosebumps! Thanks for letting us be a part of this, Sars…can’t wait for the tomato costume.

  • Jenny says:

I think it’s pretty clear why we’re at 71% and rising–we rock. Plain and simple.

I just wish there was some way to get videos of the kids and classrooms receiving and using all of the cool things that are being funded. I get the warm and fuzzies just thinking about it.

  • Ruth says:

    72% there. Woohoo!

  • Annie says:

Oh, cool. The proposal I donated towards now is fully funded. I think it was at 40-something percent when I chipped in this morning. Nice going, everybody!

  • ElizabethRN says:

Dude, you are kicking Overheard’s ASS.

  • Jennifer says:

Now at 72%. How very cool. :)

  • Barb says:

Now 72%. I kicked in ten bucks for computers for the ESL students.

  • Heather says:

    Wow! 72%. Incredible.

  • Emerson says:

I went for the pre-K supplies, but that Lion King one looks worthwhile
too. I definitely think all kids should have an experience like that.
Also, I wish I could still go on field trips.

  • Sars says:

@Jennifer: any proof that you donated to projects in the TN Challenge is fine, so yes, send a PDF if that’s what you’ve got. Again, Zach is around to help with tech issues: zach@donorschoose.org.

  • doriette says:

    SEV-UN-TY-FIVE!!!

  • Jenimull says:

75% on October 2! That is flipping fantastic!
